Not a very Magic Kingdom! Two families scrap in massive brawl after one of the guests left the line to get her phone and was accused of pushing in when she returned at Florida’s Disney World resort

  • The saga began after one family pushed a member of another in a queue dispute
  • After the performance, the two groups got into a disagreement over the incident
  • A shouting match quickly turned physical and a huge fight broke out in the street
  • One man was carted away in an ambulance and others sustained minor injuries

A huge brawl broke out at Florida’s Disney World resort yesterday evening after two families disagreed on queue etiquette, shocking new footage has revealed.

Clips from the scene showed the scale of the chaos as up to 10 people engaged in the fistfight, screaming a torrent of profanities while other families desperately tried to shield their children from the violence.

Several bystanders attempted in vain to intervene as the two groups relentlessly beat one another without reprieve, until Disney staff eventually managed to break up the brawl.

One man was hospitalised due to a severe facial laceration, while others sustained an array of smaller cuts and bruises.

The saga began when a member of one family standing in line for a performance at Mickey’s PhilharMagic theatre in the Magic Kingdom left the line to retrieve her phone from an electric scooter.

When she came back, another family refused to allow her back to the front of the queue and pushed the girl as she tried to bustle past.

This was very poorly received by the girl’s family members, who were waiting outside the theatre after the performance at around 7:30pm local time to confront the offending group.

‘We don’t appreciate you guys pushing my younger sister,’ one relative said according to eyewitnesses, before the exchange quickly devolved into yelling and name calling.

Moments later the verbal confrontation became physical as the two families stepped forward towards one another, ultimately triggering the massive scrap.

The fighting raged in the street outside the theatre with no regard for other families and small children present.

Kids can be heard crying in the video as the brawl spilled across the street and past several pushchairs, while panicked adults were heard shouting for security.

Walt Disney World News Today reported the two groups were eventually broken up and hauled to the park’s security office, though it is not known whether either family is planning to press charges.

Some reports suggested one group stole or damaged several personal items belonging to their opponents including mobile phones and designer clothes, though this could not be verified.

Footage of the incident quickly set social media ablaze but was later removed from video sharing platform TikTok.

Shortened clips of the brawl have continued to circulate on Twitter and Facebook and show how the chaos left garbage and clothing strewn across the ground as scared families attempted to shield their kids from the mayhem.

Orange County Sheriffs, the Reedy Creek Fire Department, and paramedics were all called to the scene shortly after to aid in defusing the situation and treating wounds.

Incidents of mass violence at Disney parks have increased considerably since the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Florida resort reporting more than a half dozen reports this year alone.
